I have a Red book
The same colour as my jersey
And sometimes I paint
The colour of this poem

Red is the colour of blood and maybe a ball
My house is painted red
My nail varnish and eye shadow
Mrs.Moore's cardigan and the witche's gums
Sometimes the teacher has a red celebration box
My clothes and a vampire stick
My mam wears red lipstick and I love lovehearts
My red couch
I have a shower with a red towel
I hate red strawberry jam
My sister had red lemonade yesterday
Patrick has a red pencil case
I got a bad sunburn
My mam bought me a red jacket and shoes
Apples are sweet
I hate tomatoes
I love the red spirit of christmas

What is blue?
The sky is blue
On a warm day.
We use blue pens On blue paper sometimes.
The jumper I wear and hair bands too
All mix together when I like too.
My bed and curtains match as well
Blue paint on the walls dark and light
Are beautiful in daylight.
Blue balloons at a party
As blue eyes stare and care
When people hurt and are scared.
When I open my eyes
And open the curtains
Blue flowers in a pot
On the window ledge.
I go to school every day.
I see people with their blue bags and coming out of blue cars.
Blue is a colour in the rainbow
Where the leprechaun's live.
And where he stores his pot of gold.
