The Harriers
On the 10th of June 10 people entered the Harriers competition .Stephen ,Amie, Reece, Owen, Robbie, Aine, Megan, Marcus, Sophie and Nicole .The competition was a huge event loads of schools went . There was the 80 meter sprint, 600 meter, relay, long jump and shot putt . We all did a different event and we all did really well. The competition lasted 3 hours . We didn't come first but we had a lot of fun. Amie

Outdoor Athletics
Anna and Patrick were our outdoor athletics trainers .
It was awesome first time we met them it was fun. We played north, south, east and west and then the hard stuff one lap. But then we did medicine ball and javelin and ladders and some other games. They were really nice .Everybody really enjoyed it. I thought that it was cool! Megan thought it was really fun. We did it every Monday. My favourite game was bulldog!.That’s just our opinion at Cloneygowan national school.

Youth Centre Athletics
This year 3rd 4th 5th and 6th went to the Athletics competition in Tullamore saint Mary’s Youth Club. There were a lot of events like the long jump, the triple jump, the Relay, the medicine ball, the high jump, over and under and the javelin. Over the weeks we were practicing with Ger for this competition. We also did the 1+1 lap relay, the 2+2 lap relay, the 6 lap paarlauf, the 4 by 1 relay and the obstacle relay. We all had so much fun and we enjoyed it so much, there’s not one person that would say they didn’t love the experience.
